Capability

Protection&dutygear

Body armour, helmets, carriers and load-bearing equipment held to certified protection levels.

Ref 2609-CSI Rev 01 Nigeria Live

Protection is the line where specification cannot be treated as a preference. Every armour item CSI supplies is quoted against a stated protection level and arrives with the certification that supports it.

Fit determines whether protection is actually worn. Plates that sit wrong get loosened, carriers that trap heat get opened, and an officer wearing armour incorrectly is closer to unprotected than the inventory suggests. Sizing and carrier configuration are part of the quotation, not an afterthought.

Wear items — straps, buckles, padding, covers — are stocked separately so a damaged set returns to service without replacing the whole assembly.

01

Head protection

Ballistic shell, retention and padding. Fit decides whether it stays on and whether orders are heard through it — a helmet that shifts under load is a helmet that gets loosened.

02

Plate carrier

Cummerbund, shoulder yoke and plate pocket sized to the individual. Poor load distribution turns a long patrol into a casualty evacuation.

03

Ballistic glass

The viewport is the weakest and heaviest part of any shield. Aperture size is a protection decision, not a convenience one.

04

Straps and grip

Webbing, buckle and moulded handle. This is what fails first in service, so straps and padding are stocked as consumables rather than as spares.

05

The material itself

Woven aramid at the fibre level. Uniform weave and clean construction are what a protection rating is actually built on.

06

Held and certified

Plates racked, numbered and held against stated protection levels. Every unit ships with the certification that supports its rating.
